NASCAR K & N East Pro Series raced on the 14-turn Thunderbolt Raceway at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, N.J. The race had a repeat winner as last years race was also won by Will Rodgers who dominated this race. Ernie Francis Jr., a four time Trans Am Racing Series Champion was the pole sitter and finished second in his first K & N Series start. Ronnie Bassett Jr. captured the third step of the podium. In addition to the K&N Pro Series, there were two support races by the BMW Racing Series that same day.
